Forage is the enterprise technology arm of Seramount, a division of EAB that provides talent solutions to 500+ corporations, including half of the Fortune 1,000. The Role in Brief: Senior Director, Network and Partnerships Development EAB is looking to hire an exceptional leader to grow Forage’s student network. Our ambition is to become the premier way for motivated students to find great jobs. To do this, we need to build and execute on a student acquisition strategy where highly motivated students can discover and engage in our job simulations. This isn’t a traditional marketing role – you don’t need to be a SEO specialist, a digital marketing wizard or partnerships’ pioneer. But you do need to be an exceptional problem-solver. We want someone who is drawn to the challenge of identifying, testing and building out a mix of channels which results in millions of students in the US (and eventually globally) discovering and interacting with our job simulations. You should be excited by the idea of not copying industry playbooks, but building a unique, fit-for-purpose strategy which sets Forage apart as the global leader in helping students land great jobs and leading companies discovering exceptional talent. Most crucially, you will lead the charge on activating EAB’s ecosystem of +10 million students and figuring out how to connect that ecosystem with Forage’s +300 job simulations. This is a ‘player / coach’ role – you will be leading a smart, hungry and dedicated team but you should also be excited and willing to roll up your sleeves and contribute yourself. This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of building and executing on Forage’s ambition to have the largest student job-seeking ecosystem globally. This position may be based in Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA; or is open to remote employment within the continental United States. Primary Responsibilities: Student acquisition strategy : You will play an instrumental role in executing on our existing student acquisition strategy, as well developing it further to meet our ambitions goals. You will work closely with your team, Forage’s GM, the Forage leadership team, and key EAB stakeholders to develop and execute on this strategy, with the goal to become the primary destination for student jobseekers. Data reporting : You will be responsible for tracking the overall performance of our student acquisition strategy, including understanding the performance of each specific channel. You will be responsible for reporting on this data to Forage’s GM and the EAB executive team, including communicating how we are evolving our student acquisition strategy to hit our goals considering this data. EAB network activation : Forage’s decision to join EAB was driven by our conviction that we could materially grow our student ecosystem by connecting EAB’s network of +10 million students and +1,000 higher education institutions with our job simulations. You will lead the execution of this project, including liaising with EAB stakeholders (including marketing, product, partner success and legal) and figuring out how to convert this ecosystem into active and engaged Forage users. Classroom strategy : You will lead the execution of our classroom strategy, where we integrate our job simulations into the classroom as part of higher ed curriculum. You will work with our Head of Higher Education Partnerships to grow the number of higher education institutions who utilize our simulations as learning materials, including onboarding, training and supporting those institutions on an ongoing basis. Partnership strategy : Build and execute on our partnerships’ strategy, focusing on finding ways to partner with platforms where we can increase the footprint of students that discover and engage with our simulations. You will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, triaging and executing on these opportunities, focusing on prioritizing partnerships which meaningfully impact our student volume targets. Our current partners include Pearson, Uconnect, College Recruiter and others. Cross-functional collaboration : You will collaborate with other functional leaders across the Forage business, including product, partner success, new business and engineering. There will be instances where you will need to support these functions to hit their objectives (e.g. partner success) and instances where you will need their input to deliver on our student acquisition goals (e.g. engineering and product). Leadership strategy : You will be a member Forage’s leadership team – you will play an important role in developing and executing the business’ short-term and long-term strategy. This will require you to participate in leadership meetings both with the Forage team, and on occasions, EAB’s executive team. While you will be focused on executing on our student acquisition goals, you’ll also play an active role in the overall commercial success of the business. Basic Qualifications: 8-10+ years of professional experience. 4+ years of experience being an individual contributor working on complex, cross-functional projects where you are exposed to both internal and external stakeholders. 1+ years of managing a team, while playing an active individual contributor role at the same time. Experience using data to inform decisions about which channels we prioritize. Including comfortability using analytics tools, such as Heap and Sigma, and using the output of these tools to inform strategy. Experience leading a team around hitting company targets, and adept at communicating that progress to the broader business and executive team. An understanding of the US higher education system and are familiar with the campus recruitment landscape, whether you attended college yourself and navigated the job seeking process or were involved in the campus recruitment process at your current (or previous) employer. Proven track record of working on complex, cross-functional projects that involve both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. legal, product, engineering, partner success). Experience balancing and triaging competing priorities, while not losing sight of the goal of growing key company metrics. Ideal Qualifications: Experience working in a technology business, with a comfortable grasp of how product, engineering and GTM teams work in a software setting. Familiarity with traditional organic consumer acquisition channels, including SEO, email and organic social. You don’t need to be an expert in these areas, but you should understand conceptually how to succeed with these channels. Experience originating, closing and executing on external partnerships which meaningfully contribute to core company metrics. Your experience doesn’t need to specifically relate to candidate acquisition partnerships – but we do want someone with a proven track record of being able to delineate between low and high potential opportunities, with quantitative evidence that those partnerships crystalized in core company value.
