Senior Director, Security, (M7)

Senior Director, Global Security Operations

Scope of Position

Manage the development, oversight, and execution of security operations, programs, and initiatives for Applied Materials at the company’s sites, region, and globally. This role requires demonstrated senior leadership experience in managing security programs and operations at the strategic level.

Key Accountabilities

Budget and results accountability for assigned projects, programs, and initiativesLead and/or support various Applied Materials’ Security & Business Resiliency programs and related capabilities, Federal regulatory programs, guard force services deployment, asset protection, investigations, event security, emergency preparedness, and workplace violence prevention initiatives globallySupport regional security leaders and global enabler teams, providing operational guidance and executive decision-making for global critical responses when neededSet site security operations expectations and oversee permanent and contract security personnel regionally, ensuring operational efficiencyEnsure standard operating procedures exist and are implemented globally at all sites consistent with Applied Materials’ security standardsDevelop and manage KPIs & SLAs in areas of responsibility, supporting and developing quarterly business reviews and reportsDevelop global security metrics dashboard, integrating KPIs and SLAs utilizing incident case management platformsWork cross-functionally to develop and implement security awareness and training programsOther strategic initiatives / projects as needed

Professional Expertise/ Knowledge

Industry best practices and metrics defining operational performanceExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams around safety and business continuity program process implementation and emergency management (ICS) – preferably in a global corporation settingStrategic planning / program management in global security domainAbility to identify, analyze, and explain present or future needs for proposed security initiatives to senior leaders

Experience

15+ years in a similar role within a corporate, government, or military security-related organizationExpertise in program development and management / strategic planning & initiativesInvolvement in ASIS international and ATAP preferredPSP, CPP, or similar certification preferred

Skills

Service-oriented/customer-driven approachExcellent organizational skills, and business acumenSolid decision-making and judgmentExcellent communication and presentation skillsMicrosoft Office SuiteAbility to work within a matrix environment with cross-functional collaboration

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred

U.S. Salary Range:

$188,000.00 - $258,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
