We are searching for the best talent for Senior Director, Small Molecule, Value Chain Management to be based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland; Zug, Switzerland; Cork, Ireland; Titusville NJ, US; Horsham PA, US; Beerse, Belgium. **Purpose:** The Senior Director, Small Molecule Value Chain Management is responsible for leading a team to develop and maintain product/portfolio strategies, input to recommendations on network strategies/resiliency/dual sourcing, associated investment approvals, and ensuring timely decisions on portfolio /product needs. The Senior Director is entrusted with the stewardship and accountability for all development and commercially marketed products in Neuroscience and other Therapeutic areas as required and for developing and coaching a team of Value Chain Leaders. They will serve as a leader within the supply chain, and their primary responsibility is to ensure value chain leaders optimize the Innovative Medicine supply chain performance within their therapeutic area by driving end-to-end product ownership across the life cycle of the products. They will be responsible for ensuring close collaboration with commercial, TA and R&D colleagues and ensuring consistency in the Product Launch Readiness process. For this position we are looking for a seasoned business leader as this position has a very wide range of responsibilities & accountabilities and requires a broad insight in supply chain management. **You will be responsible for** **:** (1) The primary role of the Senior Director Value Chain Management is to oversee and guide a team of Value Chain Leaders by fulfilling all responsibilities related to leadership, coaching, and mentorship. Value Chain Leaders lead broad cross-functional teams that drive performance in the following key processes: + Product /Portfolio Strategy Development + Life Cycle Management (LCM) Projects & LCM Portfolio Prioritization + Product Operational Management + Issue Management + Stakeholder Mgt/Product Communication + Product Sourcing + Integrated Launch Readiness + CMC/CDT member representing IMSC + IRC requests The Senior Director Value Chain Management has the overall responsibility for performance in these key Value Chain Management Processes in their therapeutic area: + Driving the development and the execution of IMSC product supply chain strategies for products in the therapeutic area to build a pro-active customer-oriented supply chain. + Prioritization of Life Cycle Management projects within their therapeutic area portfolio, including the CAR approval. + Driving Product Operational Management, Stakeholder Management and Product Sourcing: + Product Operational Management includes the improvement of the supply chain performance of a product by monitoring of the product performance (delivery, margin, cost, inventory, quality) against targets, COGS optimization, SKU Delisting, etc. + Issue Management requires the Value Chain Leader to be responsible for the issue resolution management of supply & quality events that are potentially impacting the supply towards the markets for all assigned products. + Product Stakeholder Management / Communication include issue related communication as well as regular communication. + Product Sourcing requires supporting the IMSC network sourcing council with Sourcing Business Cases. (2) In collaboration with the Senior Directors Value Chain Management for the other therapeutic areas: + Ensure proper resourcing for a balanced product ownership across the entire IM Supply Chain + Continue to improve Value Chain Management processes to optimize business performance in the short and the long run. (3) Ensure key strategic supply chain connection to the R&D & Commercial Therapeutic Area Leaders. (4) Provide coaching and leadership, and actively contribute to overall Product Management people processes such as talent development and succession planning. (5) Integrate the technical product introduction and commercial launch planning activities to drive an efficient launch across all functions. **Qualifications / Requirements:** + A Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree is preferred. + At least 12 years of relevant business experience is required. + Proven expertise in several of the following areas is essential: manufacturing, planning, supply chain management, value chain management, launch management, quality, regulatory affairs, product development, or other business processes common to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. + Strong business acumen and a thorough understanding of financial processes are required. + Ability to set strategic direction and effectively drive strategy into execution is necessary. + Proven capability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation, and collaboration. + Strong leadership skills are essential. + This role requires 20% domestic and international travel as needed. Additional Description for Pay Transparency: The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
