Senior Director, Zanzalintinib Marketing

SUMMARY: 

Reporting to the Executive Director, Zanzalintinib (Zanza) Marketing, the Senior Director, Zanzalintinib Marketing will lead key strategic and promotional initiatives to support commercialization and launch planning for the first approval for Zanza as a new molecular entity in mCRC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support CRC launch strategy development and Launch Readiness processPartner with Market Planning on CI landscape monitoring and execution of market researchLead the development of advisory board content and key strategic insights, collaborating with cross-functional internal and external stakeholdersLead development of Congress engagement strategy and partner with Field Based Marketers on engagement with key opinion leaders to gather insights and assess strategic implications to the brandLead development of P2P speaker bureau content to ensure alignment with brand strategyCreate the US marketing tactical plan for zanzalintinib, partner with the agency of record (AOR) to pressure test tactical mix to ensure alignment to stratey and competitive landscape and manage the zanzalintinib brand budgetEnsure successful execution of compelling promotional tactics for US HCPs and other key stakeholders across personal and non-personal channelsManage key vendor relationships, including the promotional AORCollaborate with Sales Training on development of sales training content and pull through at all meetingsEnsure key brand messages and materials are effectively communicated at Sales meetingsEnsures compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern Exelixis conductTravel required up to 20% of the time

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Education:

Master’s degree in related discipline and 13 years of related experience; orBS/BA degree in related discipline and 15 years of related experience; orEquivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

Pharmaceutical marketing experience (promotions and strategy experience strongly preferred)Oncology experience is requiredProduct launch experience is strongly preferredSales, sales management, and managed care experiences are a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to develop sound strategic concepts and clearly articulate these to brand and cross-functional team membersCross functional leadership with the ability to build consensus and drive key decisionsHigh level of learning agility; comprehends all aspects of the marketplace that affect current and future brand performance (e.g. coverage, distribution, sales incentives, regulatory, and finance)Effective presentation and written communication skillsAbility to draw insight from market research, the sales force, and other sources to optimize messaging, tactical plans, and promotional activitiesUnderstanding of FDA Regulations of pharmaceutical drug promotions and experience with Legal, Medical and Regulatory review processesKnowledge of reimbursement mechanisms for both injectable and specialty oral medicationsKnowledge of managed care environment, including pharmacy and medical benefit designStrong command of MS Excel and financial modeling abilityProject management skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $232,000 - $330,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.

In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan.
