This role involves managing financial planning, reporting, risk management and ensuring the organization's financial health and compliance with relevant regulations. This role is responsible for providing strategic pricing strategy and analysis to the business. This role is responsible for providing leadership and consulting support to senior leadership / management on matters pertaining to financial management, commercial structuring and strategic implementation in support of achieving corporate objectives and business growth. This role provides overall leadership and management of their finance and commercial teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving operational excellence. **What you'll be doing** **Key** **Responsibilities:** + Develops and ensures execution of the financial strategy in alignment with its overall business goals. This includes both short term and long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. + Oversees the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports to senior leadership. + Conducts in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into practice’s financial performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement. + Uses data-driven analysis to make strategic financial decisions. + Identifies, assesses, and mitigates financial risks that could impact business profitability or financial stability. + Implements risk management strategies to safeguard assets and investments. + Ensures that the organization complies with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws in the regions where it operates. + Maintains strong relationships with regulatory authorities and auditors, where applicable. + Manages the allocation of financial resources, including capital investments and return thereon. + Establishes and maintains robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to prevent fraud, errors, and financial mismanagement. + May assist with evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures from a financial perspective. May lead financial due diligence and integration efforts when necessary. + Maintains relationships with internal stakeholders, communicating the company's financial performance, strategic initiatives, and growth prospects. + Oversees the management of the finance information systems and necessary reports for critical analyses of financial performance. + Builds and leads a high-performing finance team, setting clear goals and expectations, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. + Manages a team of Finance Managers/Controllers and Commercial Specialists carrying out the financial management and control processes. + Responsible for negotiating financial and commercial matters with internal and external stakeholders. Specifically required to take the lead on vendor negotiations as a key lever in the business. + Responsible for negotiating client SLAs based on deal risk assessments and commercial outcomes required. + Oversees current and future business needs through the development and implementing pricing strategies that enhance profitability. + Owns scenario analysis, what if comparisons, sensitivity analysis, on key deal during deal structuring cycle. + Works across multiple business areas to train and develop managers on pricing pursuits for account, sales enablement and delivery teams and deliver ongoing education to ensure Sales understanding and compliance. + Accountable for managing the pricing strategy and analysis team ensuring they understand and can execute all pricing responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and procedures. + Ensures the facilitation of deal reviews and approval by Sales and Finance by managing the communication and structuring of business opportunities. + Initiates and leads discussions on pricing strategy and analysis policies and procedures improvement to ensure they are up to date, business enabling practices. **Knowledge and Attributes:** + Process driven and commercially astute. + Significantly vast knowledge about the industry including competitors and market trends (Telecommunications and/or Internet Service Provider). + Significantly vast understanding of how technology solutions are influenced and affected by various business scenarios. + Excellent business negotiation and, conflict resolution skills. + Political savvy. + Significantly vast knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting. + Significantly vast understanding of financial modelling and analysis. + Significantly vast knowledge of vendor pricing and commercial models + Keen eye for identifying opportunity. + Significantly vast analytical and research skills. + Ability to think strategically and align financial strategies with the organization's overall business objectives. + Significantly vast proficiency in identifying, assessing, and managing financial risks. + Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial information to various stakeholders, both internal and external. + Strong leadership and team-building skills to lead and develop a high-performing finance team. + Significantly vast capability to make sound financial decisions based on data analysis and risk assessment. + Ability to adapt to changing business environments and lead financial transformation initiatives when necessary. + Commitment to ethical and responsible financial practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. + Commitment to staying updated with industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices through ongoing professional development.​ **Academic Qualifications and Certifications:** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Finance related field preferred. + Preferably post-graduate qualification/degree (CA (SA) or equivalent) with extensive experience in a financial management capacity preferred. **Required Experience:** + Significantly vast financial leadership experience in a related environment (Multinational Organisation; Telecommunications and/or Internet Service Provider), managing people, processes and budgets to achieve corporate and divisional objectives. + Significantly vast demonstrable experience with and understanding of the deliverables of a financial function. + Significantly vast strategic planning experience. + Significantly vast in-depth knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment (specifically Telecommunications and/or Internet Service Provider markets), combined with strong understanding of business process. + Significantly vast demonstrated experience working with business intelligence software. + Significantly vast demonstrated experience in a similar role including solid exposure to managing pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives, and creating a pricing process documentation. + Significantly vast demonstrated experience in commercial modelling using MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc. + Significantly vast experience managing finance and commercial operations on a global scale, including knowledge of international taxation, foreign exchange, and regulatory compliance in multiple regions. **Workplace type** **:** Hybrid Working **About NTT DATA** NTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
