Establish & Sustain an Operational Foundation for NPI Portfolio Management
Implement Stakeholder Matrix & Milestone Reviews: Develop and enforce a stakeholder matrix and rigorous NPI milestone review process tailored to program complexity, investment, risks, and business impact.Drive Portfolio Strategy & Metrics: Develop and monitor portfolio and program strategies, goals, and metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives. Provide leadership for yearly portfolio technology planning as part of overall business planning.Facilitate NPI & Advanced Technology Management Reviews: Lead NPI management reviews, providing guidance, standard work, and actionable insights. Foster action forward culture to drive impact.Ensure Data Quality & Metrics Standardization: Maintain high-quality NPI portfolio data, standardize metrics, and enhance visibility through portfolio management tools and dashboards.Champion NPI Process Improvement: Continuously improve the NPI toll gate process and associated standards, promoting the adoption of process revisions.Drive NPI Program Management Excellence
Enhance Design Processes & Practices: Lead initiatives to improve design processes and practices, focusing on customer value, on-time delivery, cycle time improvements, and predictability.Establish Program Management Community: Create a community of practice for program management to identify and share best practices, driving broad adoption and continuous improvement.Develop Multi-Year Process Improvement Roadmap: Create and implement a multi-year roadmap for process improvements, systematically developing, maturing, and deploying them into NPIs.Drive Engineering Efficiency & Modernization Strategies
Harmonize Engineering Tools: Lead efforts to harmonize engineering tools across the organization.Collaborate on Capability Building: Work with HR and Learning Leaders to build capabilities across the technology function.Promote Diversity & Thought Leadership: Advocate for diversity in experience and thought leadership within the organization.Co-Lead LEAN Initiatives: Co-lead enterprise-wide LEAN initiatives to create standard work focused on specific areas of improvement, drive enterprise-wide adoption, and establish management tools for visibility into deviations.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in STEM: A degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field.7+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in new product development in a program manager or senior engineering manager role within the MedTech industry.Global Team Management: Experience managing managers of multi-disciplinary technology teams distributed globally.Digital Technology Expertise: Proficiency in running digital platforms or product development programs.Desired CharacteristicsAdvanced Degree: A Master’s or Doctorate in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer, or Software Engineering.MBA and PMP Certification: An MBA and Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.Lean Six Sigma Practitioner: Certified Lean Six Sigma Practitioner.Comprehensive Program Management: Experience managing a portfolio of medical device programs across their lifecycle, including new products, sustaining engineering, advanced technology development, cost productivity, and supplier transfers.Cross-Functional Integration: Experience in integrating functions such as Manufacturing, Procurement, Regulatory/Quality, and Field Service Operations.Agile Development Expertise: Experience in Agile software development with related certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, Certified Agile Leader).Platform Development: Experience in building or integrating product platforms at scale.Business Finance Acumen: Proficiency in business finance, R&D base cost management, and investment business cases.Operational Excellence: Strong track record of meeting objectives with a sense of urgency, driving operational excellence, and continuous improvement.Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to think analytically and strategically, with a broad partnership approach.Adaptability in Ambiguity: Comfortable working in ambiguous situations with attention to detail.Change Management: Demonstrated experience in large-scale change management.Executive Presence: Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.Matrixed Environment Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a heavily matrixed environment.GE HealthCare offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
