We are seeking a Senior Director of Cloud Services.
This is a new role created to provide leadership and oversight in the development and execution of a comprehensive cloud computing and enterprise data center strategy. The person in this role will establish and lead a system-wide cloud computing and data center program. In addition, the Sr. Director of Cloud Services is responsible for managing Montefiore's cloud infrastructure, including the selection, implementation, and maintenance of cloud technologies and services. Responsibilities include:
Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud computing and enterprise data center strategy Establish and lead a system-wide cloud computing and data center program Identify, direct, coordinate, evaluate, and report on cloud and data security risks Manage Montefiore's cloud infrastructure, including the selection, implementation, and maintenance of cloud technologies, Cloud Service Providers (CSP’s) and Cloud services Oversee the development and implementation of cloud Governance, policies and procedures Train and educate staff on cloud best practices Serve as the key liaison and focal point for all cloud and data security communications and initiatives Coordinate internal staff, external resources, and related third parties Manage budgeting and project prioritization including chargeback models Maintain industry and media relations Provide advice to executive leadership and agencies in matters of cloud and data security.
Requirements include:
Hands-on development skills in cloud computing 'M-shaped' skills profile with generalist knowledge and deep specializations Experience working in traditional IT-infrastructure organizations to understand fundamental design choices Deep cloud-specific knowledge and experience Expertise in fundamental design choices, such as eventual data consistency across application instances, infrastructure platforms, and geographies Ability to develop robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions Familiarity with cloud service providers and technologies, primarily AWS, Azure, and GCP Experience in developing solutions on cloud computing services and infrastructure in the data and analytics space Knowledge of containerization and managing pipelines and microservices, such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience in building and deploying data pipelines using tools like Git and Jenkins Experience building Cloud support models and support teams (DevSecOps etc.) Experience creating and documenting Cloud Architecture best practices and standards for the organization. Knowledge and demonstrated experience of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as SOX, PCI DSS, HITECH, HIPAA Privacy & Security and other CMS regulations and guidelines as they are updated by the Federal Government Knowledge of various healthcare related code sets such as CPT-4, ICD-9/10, LOINC, SNOMED, etc.

Managing technical staff within a cloud services organization Understanding business objectives and planning processes to align cloud strategies with organizational goals Working with diverse stakeholders including executive leadership, IT teams, external vendors, and cloud service providers Effectively communicating technical concepts and issues to non-technical stakeholders Motivating and supporting staff to achieve business goals in a rapidly changing environment Communicating industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends in cloud computing Interpreting and implementing industry best practices and assess Architect Expert
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree Certification in cloud computing and related technologies, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions.
