Your Impact at CNIB
Cash Management & Strategic Planning
+ Develop, execute and manage CNIB’s comprehensive cash management strategy, including that of its affiliates.
+ Develop and implement innovative financial strategies to adapt to market trends, ensuring that CNIB remains competitive and financially sustainable in the long term.
+ Provide strategic oversight for day-to-day cash-flow operations, including receivables, payables, debt servicing and investments.
+ Provide guidance on the cash treatment for the CNIB’s programmatic and capital-based deferred revenue operations
+ Formulate and implement a multi-year cash flow strategy to support operational and strategic initiatives.
Debt and Liability Management
+ Lead the development and management of strategies related to deferred revenue and cash-related liabilities, ensuring alignment with CNIB’s organizational goals.
+ Identify, assess and manage financial risks associated with cash flow operations, investments, liabilities and develop strategies to mitigate potential financial exposure.
+ Develop and implement strategy to optimize cost of capital and maximize return on capital deployment.
+ Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax and financial reporting requirements to mitigate any legal or financial risks.
· Enterprise Investment Strategy
+ Lead the development, execution and reporting of CNIB’s enterprise-wide investment strategy, ensuring it aligns with both short-term and long-term financial objectives.
+ Oversee banking and debt relationships, including management of key partnerships with financial institutions such as Scotiabank, the Royal Bank and others.
+ Supervise investment programs in partnership with external consultants, including:
+ Mercer: Defined Benefits Program and consulting services for investment programs.
+ Sun Life: Defined Contribution Program.
+ Strategically contribute to the development and management of CNIB’s real estate portfolio as part of the broader investment strategy.
Who you are:
Education and Certifications
+ Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business administration or related field or relevant experience;
+ Professional designation (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
Experience and Qualifications
+ Minimum of 10 years of financial management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position with demonstrated experience in managing complex financial operations, investments and multiyear financial strategies.
+ Proven experience in managing investments, liabilities, and multi-year financial strategies.
+ In-depth knowledge of cash management, investment strategies, and financial operations.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
+ Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
+ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and with senior leaders.
+ Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
+ Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

+ Multiple and ongoing demands from key stakeholders.
+ Occasional travel may be required to meet with stakeholders, attend conferences, or manage external partnerships.
