Senior Director, Information Technology Position Summary:

This position falls within the Global Information Systems (GIS) leadership team reporting to the VP Research to Release. The position has responsibility for global business system applications, such as those supporting the Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, General & Administration and Product Development functions. The position also partners with other teams across GIS to drive internal process improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

Business Application Management

• Senior business stakeholder management including COO, CFO and business function Vice Presidents. Interacts and partners internally and externally with executive level management to provide cohesive direction toward company goals

• Responsible for organizations providing systems administration, maintenance, systems performance optimization for global applications supporting manufacturing execution, quality, and financial systems.

• Delivery of high-quality end-user application services for more than 50 global applications.

• Development and harmonization of policies, compliance with SOX, FDA, ISO, and other regulatory requirements.

• Drives internal optimization programs for IT, focused on agility, quality, and efficiencies.

IT Strategy and Technology Innovation

• Develops strategic plan, vision, and direction for IT delivery for multiple functional areas like Operations, Finance, and R&D.

• Drives the strategy and tactical support for high availability (24/7) for global business applications.

• Executes business transformational projects, on time, on budget and delivering the desired business outcomes.

• Partners closely with the Product Development functions and is responsible for enabling applications that support new product launches and first customer shipments.

• Stays current with emerging trends and technologies and advises business stakeholders on opportunities to drive value through technology solutions.

• Ensures that Cybersecurity policies and guidelines are adhered to.

Talent Management

• Leads the organizational structure for team (Directors and Associate Directors) that supports current global business stakeholder needs and can evolve to meet future needs.

• Directs and controls the IT activities of Operations, Finance and R&D functional areas, through subordinate directors/managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of assigned areas.

Requirements:

• Track record of successfully delivering large-scale multi technology projects (including ERP systems) that meet quality, time, and budget requirements.

• Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a matrixed organization globally.

• Strong vendor management experience in negotiating large software licensing and services contracts, including Managed Service Providers and Off-Shore partner relationships.

• Strong change management and inter-personal relationship skills.

• Must be self-directed and able to work with individuals at all levels of the organization, including executive management.

• Track record of customer orientation/focus inclusive of objective performance metrics. • Proven capability to design IT team organization in alignment with modern software development principals such as Product Oriented Operating Model, DevSecOps, Agile, Waterfall, etc.

• Strong English verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing and highly motivated teams in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

• Must be very detail oriented.

Experience/Education:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred.

• 20+ years of direct IT experience. Experience with SAP, Camstar and/or TeamCenter preferred

• 5+ years senior IT management experience having oversight of hardware and software in a hybrid environment, SaaS, On-Premise, PaaS, etc.

• 5+ years’ experience supporting the IT needs of a 1000+ employee base engineering, finance, manufacturing and/or R&D user community.

• High-level understanding of related business processes and is able to discuss business goals and objectives aligned with the functions supported.

The estimated base salary range for the Senior Director - GIS Research to Release role based in the United States of America is: $201,100 - $301,700. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
