The Senior Director Global Retail Strategy will help design and implement a cross category commercial distribution strategy, go-to-market retailer strategy and support the development of retail tools and services.
This leader will drive a customer-centric mindset in the global team, bringing in market expertise and a retail POV through every step of the product development, operations, sales and campaign creation process to ensure market and channel relevancy in global campaign deliverables.
Leading with a consumer centric mindset, this leader will build an omnichannel consumer journey and bring innovation to the brand through omnichannel initiatives in partnership with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Digital, Social, VM Education, and CRM.
As a champion of retail excellence, the Senior Director Global Retail Strategy will also be liaising with global store operations and will ensure retail excellence through all brick-&-mortar touchpoints.
Reporting directly to the CCO, the Senior Director Global Retail Strategy will lead, coach and manage a high performing team of four who are responsible for driving customer acquisition, engagement, loyalty, and retention across all touchpoints, ensuring an exceptional brand experience for our clientele, and focusing more specially on the High-Net-Worth-Individuals communities of customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build retail excellence Development of Retail Excellence for Skincare and Niche Perfume Brands developed in-house by Coty. Licensed Brands such as Gucci, Burberry, Chloé, ... will be overseen too Development of an omnichannel customer journey through Global Retail Excellence, Client Engagement, CRM, Education and Retail Store Planning management to develop top quality service and perception of the Brands Supporting the implementation of regional retail strategies and helping to strengthen key partnerships and differentiation Be the retail representative to help define retail priorities & strategy per market/channels throughout 360 campaign process. Reinforce retail performance KPIs to support markets in increasing productivity per door Ensure consistent customer experience across all touchpoints Build retail roadmap and sustainable retail capabilities and conditions for success Define channel-specific services and retail tools (gifting tools, consultation protocols, retailer exclusive offers) to amplify brand positioning and skincare efficacy Act as the bridge between Marketing, Operations, Product Development and Education to harmonize online and offline messaging to magnify business impact Partner with VM & digital team to digitalize in-store experience and further enhance the consumer journey Identify business opportunities and develop innovative & engaging retail tools to drive business & engagement Ensure retail excellence for in-store operations Build and follow-up points of sales’ PNL Ensure impeccable service standards in the owned retail network across the globe Management tracking retail operational tools (performance tracking system, go to market store manual…) Be the retail lead for all other store operational needs (new market opening support, sampling strategy, promotional offers, etc.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree or equivalent experience 15+ years of luxury retail and/or luxury omnichannel experience - experience working with Asian markets and in the Skincare category Excellent knowledge of luxury omnichannel systems: retail landscape, digital trends, emerging consumer behaviors Results-oriented, with strong project/process management experience and skills Managerial experience in leading and motivating a team Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships Ability to interact with all levels of management in a fast paced, high growth, continuously evolving environment Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Highly organized with strong attention to details English fluent International travels are required
