Senior Director Marketing Services

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Marketing Services leads a team to develop and execute strategic, integrated marketing plans that enhance brand awareness, drive customer acquisition and increase revenue for the overall organization and individual service lines. Working closely with the AVP of Marketing & Communications to keep plans connected to organizational priorities. This individual will be the primary point of contact for priority internal service line clients, cultivating and owning relationships with director and AVP-level executives.

 

The Senior Director will be responsible for Marketing’s strategic planning cycle and forecasting; scheduling and leading regular meetings with internal service lines throughout the year. Individual works closely with Marketing & Communication team along with agency partners (creative, media vendors) to build highly effective, comprehensive, data-driven plans for AtlantiCare service line clients.

 

Marketing Strategy & Campaigns

Lead the team responsible for executing strategies and tactics; providing direction, approvals, and mentorship to direct and indirect reports to ensure effective implementation, Hold individual team members accountable for their roles within the overarching plan, collaborating with colleagues across Marketing and Communication to deliver omni-channel campaigns.

 

Brand Management: 

Set the creative direction for the brand and oversee creative and production services to ensure consistency in brand, positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all marketing channels and touchpoints.

 

Budget Management

Deliver work on time and on budget, allocating resources to maximize ROI to achieve target goals.

 

Data-Driven Decision-Making:  

Lead market research to identify opportunities, competitive market position, and threats to inform marketing strategies. Measure and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies, capture CPA, and drive continuous improvement. Provide ongoing reporting to stakeholders, demonstrating and optimizing ROI for all campaigns including paid media.

 

Leadership: 

Supervise other marketing and communication team members as assigned, ensuring execution of specific marketing tactics. Provide leadership to indirect reports including but not limited to external, internal, social, website, PR.

 

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required. MBA preferred but not required.

 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  Valid NJ Driver’s license and insurability through AtlantiCare Fleet Policy and provisions required.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum 10 years’ experience in Advertising and/or Marketing managing multiple service lines or product brands required. Health Care Experience preferred. Displays strong knowledge of strategic planning initiatives.  Demonstrates knowledge of marketing processes/operations, including working with advertising and media agencies.  Exhibits strong project management, interpersonal, writing, organizational, communication and presentation skills required. Proficiency with computer applications is required. Healthcare experience preferred but not required.  Public Relations experience preferred but not required.

 

 

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation tool for this position.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires some walking/standing and may have prolonged period of sitting.  Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer, telephone and copier.  Position requires frequent travel, flexibility of hours including weekends, evenings, and on-call coverage as well as lifting up to 20 lbs. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
