Job Description:

Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, i.e., all liquidity and financial projections including monthly liquidity reports, quarterly financial forecasts, Vision 2030 long term forecasts, etc.  This would require tight integration with the corporate FP&A team. Equity capital structuring – working closely with the MCUSA President and the Corporate Finance, general counsel and tax teams. Divisional CFO would be responsible for:  sourcing and structuring equity financings for projects  structuring land JVs (e.g., Watersound, LMN Naples) Debt financing – working closely with Corporate Finance to manage lender relationships, lender reporting, credit facility extensions/renegotiations, monitoring compliance with covenants, etc.  Strategy – working closely with the MCUSA President, responsible for developing business strategy around business growth, capitalization, scenario analysis, etc.  Financial reporting – under the direction of the corporate accounting team, the Divisional CFO would oversee all financial reporting to corporate, partners and lenders, as well as principal contact for the MCUSA financial audit, etc. 

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate would have the following profile:

Strong financial analysis background, with an emphasis on “finance” vs. “accounting”.  Experience in deal structuring – ideally with developing joint ventures; comfortable balancing business requirements with the financing, tax and legal concerns.  Analytical – able to analyse business problems through a finance lens. Able to translate complex issues into simple business language; able to provide good direction to the team on developing presentations for corporate reporting and pitches for financing, etc. Background in real estate development (home building and land development, experience in businesses with large capital-intensive investments (e.g., infrastructure investing, financial services, or similar). Able to manage multiple stakeholders – MCUSA President and SLT, the corporate reporting team, corporate tax, general counsel, CEO, Minto Audit Committee, etc.
