Leads a SCM organization, defines and implements SCM strategy, standards and guidelines in area of responsibility (both Procurement and Supply Chain/Logistics functions).The Sr. Director of Production Planning for CLS External Manufacturing is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and focus to ensure operational excellence for external suppliers providing reagents, consumables, automation, and spare parts to the DX CLS business line of Siemens Healthineers. Responsibility for the overall operational relationship with external suppliers to Siemens Healthineers, including, but not limited to planning/production oversight, obsolescence management, prioritization of work efforts internally and externally, and contract execution/management.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for production planning and issue resolution of externally supplied finished goods. Coordinate and direct supplier’s operations, including, but not limited to manufacturing, supply chain management, capacity utilization, productivity, continuous improvement, obsolescence management, cost controls, and contract management.Identify and drive supplier development and initiate strategic improvement projects.Possess and develop in-depth familiarity with products, manufacturing technology, and capabilities.Maintains an understanding of supplier’s contractual obligations and liabilities while serving as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders.Collaborate with Finance and provide in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying watchouts and variance plans while providing leadership in attaining financial targets.Provide budgetary requirements for Production Plan attainment, including capital investment.Foster a continuous improvement culture, driving the development and support of innovative and effective cost reduction and productivity programs.Responsible for building and leading a high-performing, international team, including talent selection, development, mentoring and performance management.Provides leadership and clear priorities and creates a culture of trust and collaboration.Minimum Education or Equivalent Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Operations Management, Commercial Operations Management or similar technical discipline. 10+ years of Senior level Operational Management experience in medical devices and/or a regulated manufacturing environment in healthcare or high technologyProven track record of managing employees, building a high-performance supply organization, and ensuring delivery of high-quality products on time and on budget.Strong knowledge of manufacturing, quality, procurement, finance, sales and marketing, business development, regulatory and strategic planning required.Requirements to have for success in this role:
Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal.Ability to concisely summarize complex information is required.Must be able to travel up to 25%, more if business needs dictateDevelop and maintain working relationships with people inside and outside the company, including customers, vendors, associations, etc.This job is remote, with up to 25% business travel as needed.#LI-BH1
The pay range for this is $184,500 - $276,700 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
