The Senior Director of Revenue Management is ultimately responsible for the revenue strategies and interpretation of business analytics, data, reporting and trends. Providing expertise to guide and direct the hotel(s) Teams through effective and measurable revenue management initiatives and tactical strategies. The priority will be room revenue, with a focus on total resort revenue management including but not limited to spa, food & beverage, and ancillary revenue sources.
2. The reservations team has a direct reporting line to Senior Director of Revenue Management. Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of reservations department.
3. The Senior Director of Revenue Management collaborates with the Reservations’ teams, PR & Marketing and Sales & Catering managers to achieve the revenue targets for both properties.
4. Lead and manage all processes associated with demand, revenue, inventory, forecasting and opportunity analysis to maximize RevPAR.
5. Responsible for market and comp set monitoring, analysis, and time sensitive action.
6. Formulate transient and group inventory and pricing strategies for optimal business mix. Leverage market segments, booking channels and demand drivers to achieve revenue targets.
7. Effectively manage inventory, pricing, rate parity, and property positioning in all distribution channels, including but not limiting to Branded Web, 3rd Party Sites, Central Reservation Office (CRO), and Global Distribution System (GDS).
8. Monitor reservation pace to determine and adjust pricing and availability controls.
9. Identify trends, future need periods and obstacles. Work with Sales, Catering and Marketing to action products and tools to successfully address and achieve goals.
10. Oversee space revenue management, maximizing revenue opportunities for rooms, meeting space and catering.
11. Support Daily Business Review and strategy with group and leisure sales teams.
12. Present accurate and timely forecast, revenue and specialized reports to leadership and ownership on an ongoing basis, effectively identifying and communicating opportunities.
13. Assist Sales & Marketing and Finance leadership in yearly budget and sales goal preparation.
14. Liaise with corporate and ownership Revenue Management teams for best practices.
15. Develops and maintains key stakeholder relationships.
16. Ability to embrace, collaborate and support the “Shared-Services Model” while aligning efficiencies within the resort cluster is essential.
17. Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure environment and ability to handle stress.
18. Ability to display a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times in dealing with guests and employees.
19. Ability to manage the reservations staff incentive program and compile/publish monthly results by agent.
20. Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance so prompt and corrective action can be taken as appropriate.
21. Develop systems and work procedures for new policies and recommend any improvements to the Res Manager, Front Office Manager and Director of Rooms for all that is upselling or revenue maximization related.
22. Deal with any complaints in the area of his or her responsibility, to investigate all pertinent details, to report findings to management and to take the necessary steps to avoid a re-occurrence.
23. Maintain maximum occupancy within the hotel, avoiding overbooked situations and maintaining the correct guest mix.
24. Control the free sale of all representatives to the Hotels’ best advantage regarding the number of reservations that are commissionable.
25. Be aware of all major events throughout the coming year which may affect any new projects or changes within the hotel.
26. Work closely with the operations in connection with future availability, budgets and weekly forecasts.
27. Attend all departmental meetings, and chair the revenue Meetings and hold additional briefings as required. Attend both hotel and corporate initiative conferences, trainings and meetings.
28. Perform other duties and projects as directed by the General Manager/Resort Manager or Senior Director of Marketing, relating to the two properties.
