Job Summary:

Responsible for accounts receivable performance management, planning, development, and implementation of accounts receivable projects and initiatives. Leads accounts receivable team to include billing, denials, follow up, cash posting, and credit balance.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for accounts receivable performance management, planning, development, and implementation of accounts receivable projects and initiatives.

Leads accounts receivable team to include billing, denials, follow up, cash posting, and credit balance.

Acts as a liaison and advocate between accounts receivable and other departments including vendor support as needed.

Responsible for revenue cycle management accounts receivable quality, service levels and associated performance management to ensure progress to meet Accounts Receivables (AR) and departmental goals.

Maintains knowledge of latest best practices and industry insights related to accounts receivable for purposes of continued strategic planning and innovation.

Manages internal and external stakeholder relationships to communicate progress, risks, issues, and mitigation to Revenue Cycle Management VP to proactively drive resolution.

Sets performance standards and goals for direct reports and the department; evaluates and counsels’ staff on their performance along with development opportunities for staff growth.

Directs use of outside consultants including contract negotiations and third-party billing.

Supports review of revenue cycle management patient access and patient experience service quality, service levels and associated performance reporting to ensure progress and compliance.

Monitors effectiveness of revenue cycle management patient access policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations to include vendor’s compliance.

Proposes modifications to documents, as appropriate. Identifies failure of any vendors to meet select service levels.

Forecasts key business metrics using analytical techniques and produces reports with meaningful impact, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Supports the Revenue Cycle Management VP in strategic planning, innovation, goal setting and other areas that may arise within the Revenue Cycle Management pillar relating to accounts receivable.

Maintains an ongoing awareness of regulatory and policy requirements. Maintains flexibility and alignment with the vendor to accommodate changing organizational and industry changing requirements.
