Senior Director Talent Management
Overview This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): North Carolina As Senior Director, Talent Management, you will be a member of the bank’s Enterprise Learning & Talent Development organization (EL&TD). This position is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of enterprise-wide learning initiatives with emphasis on collaboration, consultation, governance, and metrics. Additionally, this role leads a team of managers who partner with senior business leaders to identify critical learning needs and provide innovative high-impact learning solutions. Working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders, this position aligns support and program offerings with corporate strategy to address knowledge gaps, enhance capabilities for individuals and teams, and nurture a culture of continuous learning. This position will strategically partner with other EL&TD associates and HR COEs to support essential learning, the internal talent marketplace, career and learning journeys, as well as upskilling/reskilling efforts. Lastly, the senior director ensures program effectiveness, utilizes competitive and effective techniques to create an exceptional learner experience, and creates a sizable impact in support of business goals. Responsibilities Business Strategy - Responsible for the overall development, execution, and monitoring of the enterprise learning strategy. Seeks opportunities to evolve to enhance alignment and measure impact on overall corporate and department strategy. Collaborates effectively with expanded learning teams, HR, and key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment as well as effective and efficient execution. Works closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders in evaluating learning program impact and insights, in order to best serve business objectives and organizational priorities. Maintains a practical organizational approach to all support and program efforts. Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve business goals and team vision. Maintains and updates policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes team achievements by providing professional development and coaching for performance and development. Program Management - Leads all aspects of learning programs in order to build associate skills and capabilities across the Bank, including management of large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives. Oversees gap, trend, and other types of data analysis in the evaluation of consulting, learning, and project results. Measures program effectiveness and develops process improvements and new program designs based on program assessment. Creates exceptional learner experiences. Collaboration - Provides expert consultation and industry knowledge to key stakeholders, business leaders, and management, working closely with each business unit to determine their needs. Gains buy-in from stakeholders and establishes strong partnerships with leaders across departments to bridge functional priorities. Coordinates and oversees team efforts throughout execution of projects. Work closely with a team of instructional designers for customized solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of experience in Learning & Talent Development or Human Resources. OR High School Diploma or GED and 16 years of experience in Learning & Talent Development or Human Resources. Additional Qualifications: 10+ years leading a team. Design and execution of learning and development strategies in a geographically disbursed, large and/or complex organization. Proven understanding of industry principles and practices. Proven understanding of learning and development models, tools, and trends. Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with demonstrated business results. Demonstrated expertise in adult learning, innovative learning experiences, and evidenced-based decision making. Utilization of learning technology platforms to drive results and improve learning outcomes and learner experiences. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with internal talent marketplaces.
