Senior Distribution Center Operations Manager
The Senior Distribution Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our Rock Hill Distribution Center, ensuring seamless coordination between various departments and optimizing processes to meet organizational goals. This role requires a strategic leader with strong operational acumen and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: + Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the distribution operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. + Performance Management: Use key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of distribution operations and ensure adherence to safety, quality standards, productivity targets, and service level agreements (SLAs). + Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all distribution center staff. + Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. + Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and drive operational excellence throughout the distribution network. + Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize distribution operations, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and process improvements. + Budget Management: Develop and manage the distribution operations budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective operations + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as Transportation, Merchandising, Stores, and Customer Service to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes and meet business objectives. Minimum Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience Experience: • 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in Distribution or Manufacturing industry . • Proven track record of success in optimizing process and operations, improving efficiency, and achieving cost savings. Skills: • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve performance targets and drive continuous improvement. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications. • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
