About the opportunity
Join a collaborative team shaping equitable, accessible and inclusive outcomes across Australia Post as a Senior DEI Partner in a 12-month Fixed Term contract. The team is committed to outcomes based, intersectional and systems focused view of our policies, processes and practises to address the needs of all team members to create meaningful change and careers.
We are focused on emphasising equity in policies, broad accessibility, inclusive cultures, and improving safety to self-identify, across Gender, Accessibility, Generational, LGBTQIA+, Indigenous, Cultural and Linguistic Diversity, and Refugees and Asylum Seekers.
What you’ll deliver with us
As a Senior DEI Partner, you’ll drive the execution of key inclusion strategies, partnering with senior leaders, leadership teams, and team member networks to design and implement actionable plans to create meaningful and lasting change. You’ll coach and support leaders in embedding best practices and lead critical interventions and initiatives that align with business goals.
By leveraging data and people & culture technology, you’ll provide insights that drive results and report progress to stakeholders through national communications. You’ll also measure and benchmark Australia Post’s maturity via external benchmarking and indices, ensuring we’re delivering impact and driving outcomes.

Develop and implement focused inclusive strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and action plan commitments.Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to provide access and inclusion guidance, influencing decision-making and driving best practices across the enterprise.Lead initiatives to embed inclusive practices into business teams’ decision-making, processes, and methodologies.Advocate for the voice of the customers with lived experience across our areas of focus, i.e. Disability, Cultural and Linguistic Diversity etc, ensuring inclusive design principles drive innovative and inclusive customer-focused solutions.About you
You are a strategic leader with a proven track record in designing and delivering successful equity, inclusion and people strategies within large, complex organisations. You stay ahead of industry trends and are well-versed in legislative and regulatory compliance, ensuring that all initiatives align with current requirements.
You understand and appreciate the critical importance of governance, ensuring that strategies and programs are executed with integrity, accountability, and alignment to both legal and organisational standards. You bring a deep understanding of the national and global human rights landscape, with experience in applying Human-Centered Design (HCD) and co-design principles. You thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic priorities while driving impactful change across the organisation.
You’ll also need
Strong experience in developing and delivering strategic initiatives, particularly in equity, accessibility and people and culture.Proven track record in leading organisational people and culture initiatives at scale.In-depth knowledge of industry trends, employment legislation, and regulatory compliance to ensure alignment with legal requirements.Outstanding interpersonal, coaching, and listening skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.Strong external network, including relationships with organisations like the Australian Disability Network, Pride in Diversity (ACON), and the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).Knowledge of governance principles, legislative, contractual, and compliance obligations affecting workforce and organisational structures.How we’ll deliver for you
