Senior Dynamic Positioning Operator

Maintain the vessel in the optimum position for operations, both on location and underway / making way. Continuously monitor all systems critical for DP operations, while on the DP desk. Serve as Navigational Watch Officer while relieved from DP duty. Maintain constant communication with rig floor, ROV, and Engine control room to maintain a high level of awareness to current operations and power systems.
Maintain all required forms, logs, and check sheets in a professional and timely manner. Understand and follow WSOG, Standing Orders, and Night Orders. Aid in the maintenance of DP system components, including hydro acoustic system (compatts and transceivers) Aid in the training and development of DPOs. Aware of changing weather conditions.
Coordinate the movement on and off location, starting or securing the Dynamic Positioning Systems. Monitor the Dynamic Positioning System and associated equipment and instrumentation. Operate manual DP controls, if necessary. Communicate with the OIM during inclement weather conditions to combine system operation with standard propulsion and/or anchored means of station keeping to ensure the desired position of the unit is maintained. Implement and uphold safety and environmental compliance requirements. Maintain, troubleshoot and/or perform routine repairs as necessary to the DP system and associated electronic equipment to ensure system is in operational condition prior to arrival on location. Maintain reports and records of pertinent station keeping activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation re4+ years of experience on a drilling offshore vessel and 2+ years of experience as a DPO.Certified as a Dynamic Positioning Operator (Nautical Institue Unlimited Certificate).USCG Unlimited Tonnage Any Oceans license or STCW equivalent and Flag State endorsement.Must hold STCW A-II/1 Officer in Charge of Navigational Watchkeeping.Must have experience with Kongsberg station keeping.Must hold a valid Marshall Island endorsements.Completion of all training requirements for the position within designated time period.Computer skills sufficient to operate and maintain dynamic positioning control systems.Strong leadership skills and an ability to coach, motivate and mentor others and develop their skills and knowledge.Proficient in office applications and other systems required for the position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintenance & Repair
Ensure that the DP system is repaired and pre-tested between well-locations and is in 100% operational condition before arriving on site.Consult with rig management if outside technical experts or specialists are required.Prepare and/or initiate maintenance requirements for the DP system and its associated equipment as necessary with rig management.Ensure that adequate spare parts are available to service the DP system and its associated equipment and that spare parts requiring special handling are properly stored to prevent damage.Advise and recommend on minimum/maximum spare parts and stock levels for the DP system and associated equipment and assist the Materials Coordinator and/or Shore-based Materials Supervisor as necessary in ordering replacement parts.Work with and assist various groups of key supervisory personnel on the rig.

Implement and uphold Noble's safety policies and procedures.Ensure that all operations proceed safely. Correct and notify responsible parties of any unsafe acts and/or conditions.Encourage and motivate personnel to observe safety and environmental policies and all intended and implied requirements of Noble's Management System.Maintain the safety and security of the ship's crew and passengers and the operational condition of the life-saving, firefighting, and other safety systems. Lead the ship's firefighting and damage control response from the deck level. Train and instruct members of the ship's firefighting party.Responsible for familiarizing and adhering to Noble's Live Safe Code to promote a zero-incident and no-harm workplace.Responsible for familiarizing and utilizing Noble's Hazard Identification Tool to manage risk created by various energy sources found in the workplace.Attend and actively participate in daily pre-tour and weekly safety meetings.Ensure compliance with the requirements established in Noble's Management System.Initiate a safety stand-down whenever an unplanned hazard or change in the expected results is observed.Perform all Safety Critical Tasks as detailed in the HSE Case.Incorporate the STOP job planning process into all tasks, whether working alone or as part of a team.Assist during emergencies and emergency protection responses as designated on the Station Bill.Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis and prepare hazard assessments as required.Responsible for compliance with all government regulations.SUPERVISORY
