Senior Educational Specialist - Facilities Management

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Sr. Educational Specialist position is to provide highly technical solutions to complex institutional training needs, including database maintenance and developing seamless integration of training content within the enterprise Learning Management System. Design and deliver curriculum and educational material in traditional classroom settings as well as eLearning, and other formats. Develops and performs complex theory-based needs assessments for educational interventions and course development for the FM division. Determine student achievement at a variety of assessment levels. Maintain appropriate documentation of student performance in educational programs. Act as an educational consultant for the FM division. Develop and maintain budgets and timelines for educational training projects.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Training Design and Development: Develop training programs and curriculum for FM employees for onboarding and on the job training. Collaborate with the division leaders/contacts to identify training needs. Develop, schedule, and lead appropriate training sessions for FM employees. Determine training programs and tools to support performance development (utilizing class surveys, focus groups, etc.). Supports the unique needs of divisional training programs, including classroom training (in person and virtual), eLearning, job aids, videos, etc. Obtain Customer and Employee feedback for divisional products and services.
eLearning Development: Use instructional design methodologies to develop eLearning content, programs, and curriculum for FM employees for onboarding and on the job training. Develops and maintains online courses and manages processes for internal and external clients to implement courses in learning management system (LMS). Works directly with clients to ensure courses designed, created, and tested to meet quality assurance specifications prior to being published in enterprise LMS Production environment.
Technical Expertise: Develop and implements cost-effective and innovative solutions for divisional training initiatives, such as web-based online course delivery models, rapid online learning course development templates, mobile learning development and tracking, media web portals, etc.
Training Consultation and Maintenance: Serves as technical liaison with customers, peers, and third-party vendors to guarantee functional compliance of online training deliverables with the LMS, internal security policies, and institutional branding standards. Provides support to co-workers in the development, testing, and deployment of internally or externally developed online training programs.
Project Management: Employee is responsible for planning and overseeing training development projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within scope. Duties include: preparing, planning and implementation; defining scope, goals and deliverables; defining tasks and required resources, allocating any project resources; manage budget (if necessary); creating a schedule and project timelines; tracking deliverables; keeping stakeholders informed by monitoring and reporting on project process; implementing and managing change when necessary; and evaluating/testing end product for quality assurance.
Required: Bachelor's Degree Education or Behavioral Science, Computer Science, Business or related field. 5 years Curriculum development or project management experience in technology, business or health care or related field.
