Role description:
This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) – Arcadis’ centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Romania, India and Philippines, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.
The MEPF Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) in the GECs is comprised of cross-functional teams, that contribute to the development of innovative MEPF solutions that optimize energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort. Our ability to effectively manage projects, assess client needs, and provide technical guidance is crucial in delivering successful outcomes, using the most innovative way of doing computational design.
Role accountabilities:
Design and engineer general/emergency lighting, power distribution (up to 1kV), fire signaling, burglary, and CCTV systems. Perform design calculations, 3D modeling, P&ID diagrams, electrical panel diagrams, and execution drawings. Build proficiency in REVIT, BIM checking, and calculation software. Plan, organize, and execute projects, managing budgets, resources, schedules, and junior engineers/technicians. Prepare budgets, resource lists, schedules, and comprehensive engineering documents (specifications, reports, presentations). Follow company standards/procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, sustainability, and energy efficiency regulations. Attend design/client meetings to understand project requirements and collaborate with the internal team. Implement national/international standards, client demands, and project-specific requirements in designs.Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Low Voltage) or Building Services. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, calculation software, and LV electrical design standards/norms. Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical design for buildings (power, lighting, grounding, lightning protection). Good English skills with strong communication (verbal and written) for collaboration with stakeholders. Problem-solving, analytical, creative, proactive, and eager to learn new skills. Strong leadership, project management experience, and mentorship of junior engineers. Good planning, organizational, technical, and quality focus in a challenging and rewarding environment.Why Arcadis?
