Job Description:

Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Kolkata, India

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Develop and review electrical designs, including schematics, layouts, and specifications for high voltage substation projects. Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and process engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Participate in client meetings, presenting technical solutions and project updates. Oversee the commissioning and start-up of new electrical systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. Continuously monitor and improve existing electrical systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability. Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and implement best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the power, industrial, or infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). Strong knowledge of electrical design, power distribution, and high voltage systems. Experience with project management and leading engineering teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE). Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with advanced electrical control systems and automation. Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency improvements.
