Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. This role is based out of our Broomfield, CO location.
The Dacono facility is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of mid-range switchgear and components for utility markets. The Electrical Automation Engineer will need a drive to flex their automation skills with software, integration and automation, industrial controls, PLCs, industry protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus), Ethernet systems, protocol analyzers, auto transfer schemas, and industry SCADA practices. You will use your professional skills to provide top-notch customer support, creating and maintaining our many automation products.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you’ll do: Possess, understand, and apply knowledge and experience of power system automation and its application, settings, and testing, as well as related switchgear products in order to complete complex assignments; proficiency with SEL platforms is essential.Work with and assist customers to understand scope of project, creating the design configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and/or protection systems. Create and finalize customer approved functional design specifications for projects.Complete and implement work within agreed upon scope, schedule, and budget to a high level of quality and safety.Assist in the identification, preparation, and presentation of successful proposals/ scope of work for Eaton’s automation and control solutions.Support the design-to-manufacturability of new automation and control products, including creating models, drawings, schematics, specifications, as well as customer/marketing/outline drawings; proficiency with Solidworks or related CAD software is essential.Draw wiring schematics with a solid understanding of electrical elements; ability to create schematics for control-type devices based upon instructions from design engineer; prepare schematic test procedures.Prepare systems, and systems integration test protocols, including working directly with the production team, to support full system testing on customer orders.Support Eaton’s Electrical Test Safety Program for the Dacono site. (Local SRP)Create and modify bills of material in our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system; proficiency in SAP is ideal.Provide support for other Eaton marketing, sales, application engineering and development activities and prepare photo, written and video work instructions for the manufacturing floor personnel, with an eye toward assembly methods and improvements thereon.Perform sustaining engineering tasks within the engineering vault and prepare various technical writings including all engineering aspects of product manuals, including operations and installation manuals.Participate in all engineering and manufacturing requirements of our Quality Management System and plan, direct and coordinate assigned engineering activities and projects.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in STEM field from an accredited institutionMinimum of two years’ experience with electrical power systems or electrical engineering.Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
