A week in the life of a Senior Electrical Engineer​: + Design, develop, and evaluate the operation of marine vessels, electric propulsion systems, propulsion and machinery control systems, power generation and distribution systems, interior communications systems, various auxiliary electrical systems, and related equipment. + Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to electrical systems and components. + Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects. + Conduct electrical engineering analysis as they relate to vessels. + Create graphical representations of the systems. + Inspect equipment or systems. + Research advanced engineering designs or applications. + Monitor processes for compliance with standards. + Devise research or testing protocols. + Prepare technical reports for internal use. + Communicate technical information to suppliers, contractors, or regulatory agencies.
