The role
As a Senior Electrical Engineering Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of 40 experienced electrical engineers who a part of a large major infrastructure upgrade framework within Clyde naval base, Faslane.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead the engineering team to deliver technical solutions to budget, targets, and estimating the engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC).
Foster effective collaboration between Engineering and other functional teams. Manage customer relationships by developing strong connections with both existing and new customers. This includes addressing technical and delivery issues, ensuring customers are well-informed about progress, and supporting business development. Oversee the technical management of engineering outputs to ensure the delivery of solutions that align with the agreed technical scope. Uphold the highest standards of health and safety within your area of responsibility. Ensure all engineering team members adhere to company standards regarding health, safety, environment, ethics, and behaviour. Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements. Our delivery office is based in Glasgow and will require infrequent site visits to HMNB Clyde.
Essential experience of the Senior Electrical Engineering Manager
Extensive demonstrable management experience, including experience in managing electrical bias teams to deliver design activities on a range of programmes. An experienced EC&I Engineer, ideally coming from an electrical background. HV experience desirable. Previous background of critical infrastructure engineering delivery.
Qualifications for the Senior Electrical Engineering Manager
Chartered Engineer status. Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (SC) security clearance for this role. Applicants must hold sole British citizenship.
