Position and Responsibilities Overview Provide electrical design and technical support to address practical business and technical situations Interface with engineers, project/product managers, customers, and other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential electrical projects and products. Provide hands-on project support through planning, design, estimating, procurement, manufacturing and job site specific activities. Design of electrical power distribution systems, control systems, and electrical for manufactured modular building equipment. Create detailed electrical design drawings and wiring schematics related to Mission Critical equipment including design of electrical distribution systems for mission critical applications. Work with vendors to design and select power distribution equipment associated with mission critical power distribution systems including but not limited to switchgear, distribution boards, transformers, UPS and batteries and EPMS systems. Perform detailed calculations to facilitate the design and coordination of electrical power distributions systems for mission critical equipment. Establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications related to electrical power distribution design for mission critical equipment with the Product Engineer. Operate computer-assisted design software and equipment to perform tasks. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. Supervise and provide leadership/training for junior engineers, technologists, drafters and administration personnel as necessary. Be involved and contribute to internal QA/QC program, perform factory inspections and provide technical direction for improvements and solutions to problems as necessary. Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment including substitutions. Supervise and train project team members as necessary. Investigate and test products. Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures. Assist with the development of budgets, estimating labor, material, and manufacturing costs Provide field support, supervision, and/or training to clients/contractors for completed assemblies or prospective projects/products as necessary. Knowledge in the following CSI master format divisions: 01 General Requirements; 26 Electrical, 27 Communications, and 28 Electronic Safety & Security. In depth knowledge and understanding of NEC and OSHA requirements Familiarity / Proficiency with the following software or internet-based programs (training available): Bluebeam MS Visio OST MS Excel (advanced skills) MS Word MS Project (Scheduling) BIM 360 Other duties as assigned  Qualifications Electrical engineering degree is required. Minimum of five (5) years of related experience is preferred Data center experience a big plus Experience with data center power distribution systems is preferred. Experience with modular mission critical products/project a plus Strategic electrical routing and designing using CAD software Commitment to continuous technical learning and personal development History of successfully working internally with teams and externally with customers Independent decision making. Initiates and maintains relationships with RKMC team and RKI employees. Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment Company Benefits Comprehensive medical plans with HSA and FSA options for you and your family. Generous 401(k) plan with immediate company match – 100% vested. Dental and vision insurance for your well-being. Short-term and long-term disability plans available after one year. Company provided life insurance and AD&D with options for supplemental buy-ups. Enjoy paid time off and holidays. Get paid weekly for your convenience.

  Minimum Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment. Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
