Project teams in our Energy & Industrial Group (EIG) support industry-leading projects in power generation, plant design, environmental compliance, mid/downstream oil & gas, and multi-disciplined industrial projects.  We’re leading efforts to decarbonize the industry by utilizing advanced technologies in renewable energy, carbon capture, and hydrogen power.  Our EIG teams perform detailed engineering services for photovoltaic (PV) solar projects and the integration of solar and energy storage.  We’re the industry leader in carbon capture technologies with experience executing pilot-scale to commercial-scale projects for utilities, industrial plants, and direct air capture.  We provide engineering services for green hydrogen production via electrolysis using solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear power sources and we support on-site usage in power generation, fuel cells, and fueling stations.

 

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home. 

This position will offer you the opportunity to work  in a project team environment in the design, modification, and/or upgrade of new and existing power plant electrical systemsUnder the direction of the Electrical Project Lead, you will work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams in the development of the following:Single-line diagramsRelay and metering diagramsAC and DC schematic diagramsSynchronizing diagramsPoint to point wiring diagramsCable schedulesYou will produce electrical wiring drawings, and review and incorporate vendor drawings into the overall project design.Provide support to other designers and project team members in order to ensure a complete and timely design.There will be opportunities to accompany and assist in field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities.  Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

An Associates Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience10+ years of detailed wiring design experience in the development of single-line, and relay and metering diagrams, including medium-voltage and 480V systemsFamiliarity with digital control systemsThe ability to perform the following:Produce wiring diagrams and schematics for installers and electriciansAssist engineers with initial design requirementsConceptualize plans and details to accurately convey wiring termination requirementsExtensive AutoCAD and/or Microstation design experience on power plants or large facility projectsA thorough understanding of drafting and design practices and theoriesThe ability to interface and communicate with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design processMust be fully bilingual in Spanish and English (speak, read, and write).
