Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise in the field of electronic warfare flight testing to include low observable survivability, electronic surveillance/support measures, electronic attack, and radio frequency and infrared countermeasure integration, compatibility, safe separation and effectiveness
• Provide technical mentorship, leadership and advice to the 412th TW Electronic Warfare Group engineering team at large, as well as fighter and bomber Operational Test organizations, and various USAF and NAVAIR system program offices
• Develop test strategies, concepts, objectives, measures of performance, and test methodologies related to electronic warfare ground and flight tests
• Define instrumentation and data requirements for onboard systems under test as well as off board test support resources to include threat and environmental measurement systems
• Work closely with the program office, prime contractors, subcontractors, and test ranges throughout all phases of design review, test planning, execution, analysis, anomaly investigation, and reporting
• Prepare test plans and data analysis plans
• Prepare safety annex documentation
• Provide project safety lead and unit test safety officer support to both mission systems and flight sciences related test projects
• Develop mission materials to include detailed test procedures/flight cards, route planning, and threat emitter scripting
• Develop IADS real-time data monitoring displays
• Conduct on aircraft grounds tests
• Provide control room test support in the discipline engineering role
• Process and analyze data, assess system under test performance, develop conclusions and recommendations, and generate report quality data products
• Write quick-look reports, test status reports, watch item reports, deficiency reports, and formal and informal technical reports

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years experience working with electronic warfare systems in a research, development, or test environment.

Education:

Bachelors degree in a STEM field required. Engineering preferred.  Masters in an Engineering field desired.

Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance required.  Ability to obtain top secret clearance required.

Active top secret clearance desired.

The pay range for this position in California is $120,000/year to $185,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
