About the Role

The Senior Electronics Engineer role involves specification, design, and test of the electronic circuits, involves production ramp qualification, second source components qualifications within Dyson’s Haircare category. As a member of the RDD Global Hardware – Haircare Electronics Team based in PAM, you will work in multi-disciplinary global project teams to develop and deliver the electronics for Haircare products. You may also be working with Dyson’s Research in SG/UK and New Product Innovation teams to investigate and develop novel electronics to support and realise new product ideas.

Accountabilities

Design and develop power electronics, analogue/digital, and microcontroller-based electronic circuits for Dyson Haircare products.Lead the integration of electronics solutions at the system and product levels.Perform and participate in design reviews, technical risk analyses, troubleshooting, and investigations to proactively solve complex problems.Produce detailed engineering materials including design schematics, PCB layouts, tolerance analyses, design notes, FMEA, failure analysis reports, and technical review documents.Liaise and collaborate with various Dyson engineering teams (Mechanical, Compliance, Reliability, Software, Manufacturing, Test, etc) across the UK and South East Asia to develop Dyson Haircare products through to production.Provide technical coaching and design guidance to Engineers in the team.Develop system test plan and component qualification plan; these including test methodology and coverage to validate changes/risks and ensure product quality and reliability.Create documentation such as Engineering Change and general process documentation. These include design schematics, PCB layout, tolerance analysis, failure analysis and technical review.Propose process improvements to resolve issues, increase production yield and advance product quality/reliability.Monitor data and test reports from design validation, product builds, and field returns to identify potential issues.Participate in supplier audits, failure analysis, field return verification and quality/reliability/process improvements.
