As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Plexus, you will be part of a team developing embedded software for products across a wide range of industries and at all phases of product development. You will also collaborate closely with other disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, user-centered design, and others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create high-quality software as a part of a cross-discipline project teamDevelop engineering/product concepts that are innovative, high quality, and cost appropriateEngage in all phases of product development: conceptualization, development, verification, and commercializationCommunicate effectively with team members and customersProvide mentorship for engineers within your team

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field.Five (5) years of relevant experience (product development, embedded software development).Strong programming skills (modern C++, C)Knowledge of other languages (C#, Python, Bash)Strong design skills (OO, abstraction)Unit testing experienceLinux, RTOS, and bare-metal programmingHardware/software integration and debuggingFull life cycle product/software developmentAgile/Scrum experienceExperience in regulated industries (IEC 62304, DO-178)

Assist with project estimation and planningParticipate in continuous improvementOccasional travel may be required (estimated <10%)
