Reviews legal data and advises organisation on appropriate legal action to be taken. Demonstrates experience in general corporate matters, including corporate organisation, securities compliance, drafting transactional documents, license agreements, data privacy, risk management, and contract management.
Our Global Labor & Employment Law team has an exciting new opportunity for a qualified employment lawyer with significant experience in the Asia-Pacific region.
The role is to be based in India, Singapore or Australia near one or our offices, advising on labor and employment issues in our India and APJ markets. The successful individual will be part of the Global Labor & Employment Law unit of our Legal, Compliance and Sustainability organization.
Our collaborative team provides labor and employment strategic advice, counsel, and support to HR professionals and business leaders around the world.
Subfamily Description
Corporate, Business & General Law (CBG) comprises the coordinating and managing of all corporate, business, financial, and general legal matters.
Impact

Typically requires 14+ years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.
Finnish qualified with law degree and significant experience in employment law
Providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice on a wide range of employment and labor law issues. Developing proactive and practical business driven solutions to manage HR legal risks. Supporting HR colleagues and business teams in executing business strategy. Collaborating with HR/Legal & Compliance and other teams to create and implement employment related policies, processes and procedures. Raising awareness (through multi-media and digital channels) to change behaviors and train managers/HR on employment law topics. Proactively identifying and strategically managing employee relations issues. Seeing round corners, anticipating future employment trends and landscaping external market for issues impacting other multi-nationals in the technology sector as well as relevant regulatory developments, trends and best practices. Managing (with external counsel) employment and labor litigation (individual and collective) and developing strategy to mitigate risk for the business. Leading strategic global projects and covering other global areas of responsibility in key areas (e.g. HR Compliance, Diversity, Data Privacy, Human Rights). Providing labour and employment support on transactions, M&A, in/outsourcings and other commercial transactions
