A day in the life…
Serve as the company's Arbitration Coordinator and manage employment litigation matters, including individual employment and class action cases. Responsibilities include monitoring demands for arbitration, timely assignment of counsel to each matter, and leading discovery efforts by gathering key documents to prepare responses to discovery requests for attorney review. Closely partner with external law firm attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants to transfer data and documents. Partner closely with internal stakeholders to request and gather documents.Manage employment team's litigation hold program by identifying custodians who may have relevant data and documents that requires preservation and timely issuing preservation notices to all custodians. Document litigation holds in claim system, which includes all custodians and documents/data under hold to ensure records are preserved if any custodians change roles or leave the company.Manage employment-related government agency charge program by monitoring for new charges and timely assigning each charge to internal employment counsel. Responsibilities include tracking and monitoring deadlines, gathering and reviewing documents and data, drafting and submitting notices of appearance and extension requests, identifying relevant exhibits, responding to follow-up requests from the agency, and managing the documentation of all findings and exhibits in claim system.Assist with employment claim management by supporting attorneys in creating and updating claim records in claim management system. Responsibilities include creating new claims, accurately coding claims in the system, ongoing update of claims, and attaching relevant documents to claim filesAssist in responding to subpoenas and requests seeking employment records. Take lead in conducing initial legal research for attorney review, assessing scope of request and relevant objections, responding to records requests, including gathering responsive documents, making appropriate redactions, and seeking attorney guidance on specific document requests as neededPerform legal research for attorney review and assist with long-term projects as requestedYou own this if you have…
Minimum of 7 years of combined experience as a litigation paralegal or HR professional. Washington: $87,500-$145,500 AnnuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
