Job Title - Sr End User Computing Engineer

Job Description:

This role is part of our dynamic, fast-paced Infrastructure and Operations team. This senior position will be responsible for evaluating new and existing technologies, creating innovation, and efficiencies in imaging, cloud technology, configuration management, and mentoring junior engineers.

This position will play a key role in technology assessment and selection, solution engineering, design, and delivery, as well as providing technical support for these systems. You will be hyper focused on modern workplace technologies that elevate the productivity of HUB’s workforce.

You will be expected to recommend, promote and leverage IT standards to minimize complexity, adhere with compliance and maximize security.

You will apply your knowledge of enterprise endpoint architecture and standards to define, design, and implement a modern desktop management strategy and user experience.

Responsibilities

Provide vision and strategy for end user computing environment including evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of emerging technology, as well as software and hardware road maps to improve customer efficiency and productivity.Design, configure, build endpoint solutions to support the desktop environment, including SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Cloud-attached Management, Desktop Analytics, App management, software updates and Device Compliance.Identify areas in the end user compute environment, both current and future, that present technical challenges or opportunities.Research and seek out solutions whether proven or cutting edge and test them in our environment against current standards and competing concepts.Configure, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize device management tools (Intune, SCCM, and JAMF), establishing policies and procedures for device management, including provisioning, de-provisioning, remote support, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.Optimize Endpoint Management processes, such as provisioning of new endpoints (e.g., Autopilot or similar), OS updates, deployment of security patches, packaging, and delivery of third-party software, etc.Leverage Digital Experience tools to proactively identify and resolve user and/or endpoint issues.Define testing and implementation strategies for OS and application upgrades.Act as last support line engineer (escalation engineer) and implementation engineer.Manage relations with key internal and external stakeholders and communicate changes across the organization.Use script language and tools to automate operational activities, tasks, system builds and changes in the environment (PowerShell, Etc.)Facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.Continuous improvement of the operations through monitoring, system performance metrics, proactive actions and automationCreating all the necessary documentation for any changes in the environment or new technologies being introduced in the environment.Establish and implement proactive processes to upgrade existing toolsets while maintaining tools through version lifecyclesEstablish mobile device management ecosystem

Skills Required

7+ years architecting and implementation endpoint configuration and management platforms.7+ years utilizing SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy and PowerShell to effectively manage enterprise endpoints.10+ years of experience in an advanced technical support role building documentation and analyzing systems for improvements.10+ years of experience building and deploying Office 365 and Windows & MacOS Operating Systems in an enterprise setting.7+ years experience in Microsoft cloud technologies such M365/O365, Entra ID, EMS licensing, Windows Hello for Business, Hybrid and Entra joined devices, MS Autopilot, Azure Conditional Access Policies and policies.Deep technical knowledge of Windows and Apple based hardware and product lines.Expert level troubleshooting skills with Windows OS, MacOS, Office Suite including Windows 10 & 11 and Office 365.Strong technical knowledge across a variety of systems, including Windows 11, MacOS, and Microsoft 365 Apps.Demonstrated problem determination, analysis, and resolution skillsStrong analytic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong decision-making, prioritization and negotiation skillsStrong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and negotiation)Strong ability to self-learn new technologiesIndividual should be self-motivated with the ability to work independentlyMust be able to work under pressure and project deadlines

Skills Desired

Experience with and deep knowledge of Microsoft Intune.Experience architecting VDI in Azure or AWS.Experience with JAMF and MacOS endpoint management.Experience and advanced knowledge of network engineering and security.Deep level of knowledge with scripting and automation within the Windows OS.

Although hybrid to a local HUB office is desirable, we are open to remote candidates.
