Senior Endoscopy Technician
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of GI experience.
Must-Haves:
AGTS Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with therapeutic procedures such as ERCP, FTRD, EMR, POEM, etc.

Shift Details
Rotating shift (10 hours), day shift, onsite. On-call and late shift required.
Job Specific Competencies
Scope Reprocessing/Infection & Quality Control
Adheres to hospital, Joint Commission, and SGNA safety guidelines. Participates in education and process improvement initiatives. Ensures quality and safety in the endoscopy environment. Engages in continuous quality monitoring. Maintains accurate reports and inventory. Follows specimen collection protocols. Completes annual competency training and maintains required certifications.
Endoscopy Procedures
Assists with a variety of endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to:
Esophagoscopy, EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, small bowel enteroscopy. PEG placements, ERCP, EUS, cryoablation, BarrX Therapy. Endoscopic mucosal/submucosal resection, CellVizio, APC, dilation, stenting. Single/Double Balloon Technique, mobile cart travel cases.
Equipment Maintenance/Management
Performs routine equipment assessments. Schedules preventive maintenance. Manages scope repairs and records. Assists with inventory management.

Education
High school graduation or equivalent.
Experience
Three years of endoscopy experience.
Certification/Licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
