Senior Energy Analysts provide Energy Management, Operations and Budget support to industrial and commercial clients. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining complex tracking models, verifying invoices and pricing documents, producing timely reports, and leading projects with minimal oversight. The Senior Energy Analyst also serves as a subject matter expert and team lead on key client deliverables and internal processes
As a Senior Energy Analyst, you will:
Lead or contribute to the development, review, and enhancement of operational processes and SOPs. Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency and service quality. Prepare reports, client presentations, and regulatory summaries with minimal supervision. Run data queries and provide actionable insights to clients and internal teams. Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and vendor errors using operational knowledge. Serve as primary operational contact for large clients, including site-level coordination and integration timelines. Monitor consumption and manage imbalances to ensure contract compliance and performance. Execute fixed-price transactions and support energy procurement, RFPs, and contract extensions. Review and validate budget assumptions and final deliverables to ensure compliance with Siemens standards. Analyze client usage forecasts, regulatory changes, and market pricing to support accurate, customized budgets. Develop and maintain complex energy budget models and cost tracking tools across utilities (electric, gas, water, etc.). Lead projects and mentor Operations and Budget team members. Support onboarding and ongoing training, and provide operational overviews during client visits.You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of energy industry experience or related experience Must be able to demonstrate: Knowledge of Energy Commodity Contracts Knowledge of the Energy Hedging process (power and gas) Knowledge of utility and pipeline operations, tariffs and how they operate, including supplier processes and protocols Ability to advise on supplier performance - Fuel Management and Hedging effectiveness The ability to understand and implement balancing alternatives provided by utilities and pipelines and push knowledge to less tenured staff to ensure customer benefits from options available A high level of client communication in order to project accurate consumption patterns An understanding of Commodity and Basis markets Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship This job requires being on call after standard business hours as well as some weekend work based on client need and peak needPreferred Qualifications:
