Job Description

Targeted Annual Pay Range: Minimum of $80,000.00 to a maximum of $90,000.00

POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Energy Analyst will be a key part of the SourceOne management team responsible for providing energy consulting support and maintaining good working relationships with all SourceOne customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly reporting to Supervisor of Energy ManagementProfessional service to account relationshipsBuilding customer relationships as key member of management teamGathering and consolidating data from varied sourcesManaging utility information for multiple customers on a daily and monthly basisValidating and verifying customer costs and utilization using rate enginesFielding inquiry requests and managing problem resolution for customer utility-billing issuesCoordinating and assisting with new customer account creationImprove and maintain documentation of shared codeHolistically analyze our systems and identify process/tool improvements that enable scalable and repeatable resultsCollect and organize various energy data sources, develop analysis into processes and code using various tools such as Excel, VBA, MS Access, SQL, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and improve existing processesCreate processes to streamline standard operationsDevelop R-based tools to drive automation effortsProvide results and derive insights on ad-hoc analytical projectsCollaborate with other teams on cross-functional initiativesDeveloping customized reports to support specific customer needsResearching and identifying procedures for the authorizations of access to customer’s utility informationProviding follow-up with utility representatives and commodity suppliers as neededSupporting administrative needs of the business, including but not limited to, accounting, reporting, the sales process, data entry, back-up phone support, and general administrationSupporting project management requests as required by the rest of the upper management team

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

BS/BA required preferably in Business, Math, Accounting, Engineering, or relatable fieldSome energy, utility or related experience is preferred.Experience with Microsoft tools such Excel, VBA, MS Access, and SQL,SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) would be a plus

Knowledge / Skill / Abilities

Good PC and Microsoft Office skills, strong Excel and Word skills required; Microsoft Access a plusStrong analytical/problem solving skills requiredAttention to details and ability to review materials for accuracyStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong telephone etiquetteAbility/flexibility to learn and apply new skillsAbility to navigate through a variety of computer applicationsAbility to prioritize workHigh level of professionalism and integrity
