Title: Senior Engineer, Geotechnical Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: Louisville, CO (75% of telework permitted from anywhere in the US)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the development of technical specifications and construction of wind, green hydrogen, solar, and storage projects in accordance with financing efforts; Review energy production estimates from independent engineering firms for validity; Review engineering designs, plans, and related technical specifications for approval and comment; Collaborate with construction and execution teams to ensure that all technical specifications and engineering requirements are met; Visit project sites during the build-cycle for inspections, field walks with EPC’s, independent engineer, and investor/lender; Manage the independent engineer RFP process and evaluate proposals to ensure selection of firms with appropriate qualifications suited to project technology and economics; Manage the drafting and delivery of the independent engineering technical due diligence report, construction supplement, and site visit reports in accordance with project funding milestones; Coordinate with finance and legal teams to negotiate IE completion certificates, draw certificates, and reliance letters, and manage such certificate execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Job requires a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in any occupation involving civil engineering design, development, and construction.
Job requires 4 years of experience in each of the following: -Real-world civil, geotechnical, cut/fill analysis, and road design; Field experience on large civil projects, including troubleshooting, quality evaluation, and construction support; Civil Engineering standards and codes in the US; Field experience with pile load testing; AutoCAD and Bluebeam (Revu).
Job requires 2 years of experience in PV, Substation, and Battery Energy Storage System design and interconnection.
25% domestic travel to project sites.
