What will you do?

This role joins the Intelligent Transport Systems team that is aligned with the Roads Practice, Rail Practice, Integrated Transport Practice and People Movement and Place Practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for the ITS Team in Queensland which requires working on major infrastructures in ANZThe role will provide ongoing services for the transport projects as well as interstate/overseas projects which require support As Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Engineer, you will join as a key member that adds to the diversity of thought, skills, and experience of the groupThe ITS team also provides similar design services to rail and light rail projects for systems such as Passenger information, CCTV, PA, Communications room design and ethernet network design.

Responsibilities will include:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Communications Engineering, Mechatronics,  Systems Engineering or any other related discipline2 to 10 years of industry experience in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) such as traffic signals, road lighting, smart motorways, Variable Speed Limit Signs (VSLS), Variable Message Signs (VMS), CCTV, weather stations including electrical calculations and other communications control system such as layer 2 and layer 3 ethernet switches within outside cabinets etc.Proficiency in PowerCAD, general spreadsheets and in calculating loads /voltage drops, traffic signals, electrical and conduit works is an advantage but not essentialAbility to explain mark-ups to Drafters which will require basic understanding in AutoCAD and MicrostationGood communication skills and report writing skills
