Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing clients’ facilities and energy or utilities plant status, analyzing energy usage, exploring options for potential for energy efficiency improvements and to prepare energy audit reports and presentations as needed Understand client requirements and collect energy data to analyze energy profiles and consumption Carry out walkthrough and detailed energy audits, providing professional analysis for energy usage and system design-operations-maintenance Conduct feasibility studies, energy simulations, conceptual and detailed designs, and front-end engineering designs of energy efficient utility systems. Estimate project capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) and develop project timeline Liaise with internal engineering teams, consultants and suppliers to establish, review, validate and issue project specifications (M&E equipment, systems, infrastructure, structural & civil works), CAPEX, OPEX, and performance guarantees; liaise with customers for presentation and validation Coordinate with Malaysian Authorities, utilities and Government Agencies for project incentives applications, regular and special inspections, infrastructure and project authorizations, licensing issues, and general project implementation coordination Evaluate and negotiate with contractors, vendors and suppliers to meet technical, financial, health-safety, quality and profitability specifications and requirements Support the Project Management team with project kick-off, engineering, contractor coordination, and defining project health & safety, quality, budget, planning, and performance control execution plans Review contractors’ and vendors’ offers to ensure technical compliance Supervise detailed design outsourced to reputable consultants, review P&IDs and validate control strategies, I/O points and sequences of operation Participate in post project reviews to define the best practices, methods, tools and organization for future project improvement.Skills & Experience:
Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Electrical / Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience over 5 years in engineering design, CAPEX and OPEX estimation specifically for industrial utilities such as steam, thermal oil, chilled water, iced water and compressed air Experience in process or energy improvement project management is advantageous Experience with Energy Performance Contract, Built, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) or any other similar contract is advantageous Experience in Operation & Maintenance for utilities and control systems is advantageous Hands on experience in performing Detailed Energy Audit is advantageous Ability to use computer software Excel, PowerPoint, Word; basic AutoCAD skills; Thermoflow; HAP Flexible and able to adapt quickly to dynamic project environment
