Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior
Engineer, Propulsion Repair Process Engineers in Atlanta, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Workdirectly with engine maintenance, engineering team members, and engineeringmanagement to develop, repair, and process solutions for turbofan enginecomponents.
+ Developrelationships and work with outside repair vendors to develop, repair, andidentify savings opportunities for turbofan engine components.
+ Definescope of work for development projects, including equipment, tooling, and laborrequirements.
+ Establishand maintain schedules that achieve defined objectives.
+ Collaboratewith Delta’s SMEs and ODAs to develop substantiation and regulatory complianceplans.
+ Organizeand prepare all relevant reports, drawings, and engineering authorizations forassigned projects.
+ Telecommutingpermitted 1 day per week.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization in an engineering role with repair development responsibilities.
+ In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field, and 1 year of experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization in an engineering role with repair development responsibilities
Must have academic or work experience in:
+ Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software
+ Aircraft or turbofan engine part design or repair
+ Metallurgy or materials analysis
+ Creating technical engineering reports
+ Reviewing technical documentation, including repair manuals, technical/service bulletins, or drawings
