Job Description

FactoryTalk Linx team is a part of the Software & Control (S&C) that designs and develops Logix controllers, network modules, operator interfaces and Visualization Software.

As a Software Engineer for Rockwell Automation, you will have the opportunity to design and develop one of industry-leading Rockwell Automation products - FactoryTalk Linx which is the most modern, secure, best performing, and preferred communications platform for Integrated Architecture.

Our premier communication platform software provides one access point to your data, allowing both FactoryTalk and third-party software shared access to control equipment.

You will report to the Software Development Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:Working on application design and developmentPreparing unit testsDiagnosing and debugging processesKeeping up on C++ standards and advances in application developmentUsing version control systems (like Git)

The Essentials - You Will Have:5+ years of experience in development of commercial or open source softwareRequired programming languages are: C++Understanding of GUI developmentExperience working with data structures, object-oriented design and design patternsAgile software development using ScrumCommunicative English that enables collaboration with global teamBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Direct experience with the Industrial Automation IndustryBasic understanding of architecting modular softwareExperience with automated test toolsWindows Driver Kit knowledgeAngular, JavaScript, C# .NET, C++, Python
