You will have a direct impact on improving the performance of our business and ensuring customers can buy the vehicles they want in a way that is right for them! **What you will do – Essential Responsibilities** + Take a lead role in enhancing our Cloud-based Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) solution as a core component of CarMax’s broader Logistics and Supply Chain ecosystem, including partnership with other technology teams, internal SMEs, and business stakeholders. + Exhibit deep understanding of Cloud architecture and OTM integrations - will be a go-to person for all new integrations, current integrations issues/changes. + Work with fellow CarMax Associates to understand real-life process and data challenges and discover what they need to create seamless customer experiences and efficient Associate experiences. + Collaborate with colleagues in product design, product management, systems architecture, and various operational and technical teams to develop solutions and bring great ideas to life. + Market your innovative ideas internally and evolve them according to feedback and critique within an agile Product environment. + Stay on top of industry trends and best practice to continuously improve what we do and ensure our customer and associate experience is the best it can be. **Purpose of the role** It takes a passion for technology to develop elegant solutions. Creative, curious, and highly analytical, you never stop learning and thrive on constant change. **Qualifications and Requirements** Basic Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required and 5+ years of relevant work experience + 5+ years of relevant experience with transportation management systems and/or Oracle systems + 5+ years of functional experience in Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) with strong experience in OTM Cloud SaaS implementation + Experience with transportation management, carrier management, fleet management, and driver management and related systems + Experience using analytics and metrics to assess transportation optimization performance, carrier performance, and operational performance to identify and quantify improvement opportunities **Preferred Qualifications** + Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP, Inventory and SCM APIs/web services + Experience with REST, SOAP API, and web microservices technology + SQL language proficiency with at least one of the common database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and/or DB2 database management systems + Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform utilizing modern microservices and serverless approaches is a highly desirable + Led and contributed to OTM implementations in large and complex environments + Comprehensive logistics, supply chain process, and functional knowledge + Hands-on experience with interface design and mapping + Work experience with onsite and offshore delivery models + Knowledge integrating OTM with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP **Software Specific Qualifications and Requirements** **Experience in the following required:** + API designs (REST & SOAP) + Advanced Microsoft .NET (C#) or similar Object Oriented + Microsoft SQL Server Scripting and Data Models + Security and Data Protection + Data Storage Solutions + Reusable Code and Libraries + Database Schemas + Data Integration, Migration and Scripting + Unit Testing **Experience in the following preferred:** + Stateless/Sessions Design + Distributed Servers/Azure Integration + Continuous Integration + Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Technology Innovation Center or Dallas Tech Hub in Plano, TX and have a Hybrid work arrangement + Work Authorization: Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. **About CarMax** CarMax disrupted the auto industry by delivering the honest, transparent and high-integrity experience customers want and deserve.
