This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do:
Conduct structural and thermal analysis of individual components, functional systems, technically advanced prototypes, and specific products using FEA software and interpret these results on behalf of the design function, providing pertinent advice.Research, plan, analyze and provide inference about mechanical products and systems in areas including, but not limited to, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, or heat transfer for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.May evaluate and analyze various mechanical products to determine their cost-effectiveness and efficiency.May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.What YOU will learn:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experienceDemonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Qualifications We Prefer:
BS in Mechanical EngineeringProficiency in FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS FEA software).Experience in static and dynamic structural analysis, including random vibrations, shock, fracture mechanics and crack propagation, modal analysis.Experience in Siemens NX, Visio, SolidWorks software is a plus.Experience in design and analysis of heat exchangers is a plus.Desirable experience in CNC Manufacturing, Mechanical Design. Experience interacting with Mechanical Computer Aided Design Resources (MCAD).Project Engineering experience is a plus.Knowledge and Experience working Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Tolerance Stack up Calculation, Weight Analysis, etc.Teamcenter (or other collaboration space) knowledge is a plus.SAP knowledge is valuable.Experience in Thermal Sciences (applied an analysis) is a plus.What We Offer
