Position Summary:
The Senior Engineer will work on development and execution of an infrastructure platform that delivers secure, reliable, and scalable services. They will leverage their significant expertise in public cloud providers, infrastructure as code, automation, and data analytics to create modern, cloud-based solutions. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with teams both within and outside of the organization to provide world-class services. They must be adaptable, eager to learn, and focused on delivering results. In addition to platform and solution delivery responsibilities, the Senior Engineer will also play a key role in identifying areas for continuous improvement and implementing best practices.
Essential Functions:
Infrastructure Engineering (80%)
Contributes to expert issue resolution or requests as an escalation point for complex, unique or difficult issues and requestsIndependently generates code or manually deploys services for unique, complex or new use casesIndependently creates modules, templates or scripts that can automate new use casesLead coordination and execution to better optimize or secure cloud environmentsIndependent development of collaboration and coordination with leadership and peers on improvements or potential technical debtAnalyze and support implementation of cloud and hybrid datacenter technologies to support the platformMentor and support junior team members effectively
Hybrid/Cloud Operations (20%)
Qualifications :
Experience:
5-7 Years of full-time experience ; Individual ContributorFamiliarity with Generative AI, Databases, data engineering, data science or business intelligence technologyTrack record of applying automation to all aspects of technical operationsExpertise with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP) or private datacenter managementExperience with scripting, infrastructure as code and automation languages and tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, PowerShell and Python)Experience with CI/CD processes, code reviews, code deployments and pipelinesExperience with logging and monitoring solutions such as Datadog, Grafana and PrometheusExperience with containers, Docker and KubernetesExperience with public cloud landing zone architecturesExperience with identity solutions such as Active Directory, AzureAD, Okta or LDAPExperience with Go or Python for cloud platform and infrastructure API automationExperience with Hashicorp Cloud Platform (Terraform & Vault)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
