Job Summary:
This Senior Engineer – Refrigerant Strategy and System Technologies is responsible for technical leadership of refrigerant strategy, advanced refrigeration system development and associated technologies for Thermo King Transport Refrigeration and Air Conditioning products.

What you will do:
Lead and contribute to projects to develop advanced transport refrigeration systems and component technologiesCollaborate in the modeling of refrigeration systems and components – evaluate system performance for various architectures and refrigerantsAdvance modeling capabilities for compressors and systems to improve performance predictionsAct as a subject matter expert in refrigeration systems and refrigerants – advising and participating on system technology and product development programsResearch and apply advanced technologies to drive step-changes in product performance, customer value, and sustainabilityDrive the development and test of technologies for compressors, refrigerants, and systems.Develop strategies and solutions to transition to lower-GWP refrigerants across Thermo King product lines and drive their execution across the businessFormulate approaches that balance system performance, safety, and cost, while navigating the landscape of regulations, codes & standardsLead the technical assessment, selection, and deployment of low-GWP refrigerants for Thermo King products and their implementation in facilities and dealershipsInterface with external organizations to keep abreast of industry trends, codes and standards, and collaborate in research – acting as ambassador for the companyEffectively connect solutions and technologies to market needs and business strategiesApply functional safety engineering and systems engineering rigorDistill complex technical data into meaningful conclusions actionable insightsPrepare complete schedules and presentations/reports for assigned projectsAbility to travel both domestically and abroad. Bachelor's Degree in EngineeringDesired Experience: Advanced degree in engineeringAt least 5 years of experience in engineeringExperience in HVAC/R and refrigerant selection/applicationDemonstrated technical leadershipExpertise in refrigeration systems and refrigerantsKnowledge of codes and standards for HVAC/RFunctional safety engineeringPower electronics, controls, and systems engineering are a bonusTechnical acumen in HVAC/RProblem solving and learning agilityAbility to distill complex technical information and communicateVerbal and written communication skillsPlanning and project management skillsAbility to work with a sense of urgencyCompensation:
Base Pay Range: $ 77,000-$150,000
