Key Responsibilities + Lead the design and development of core backend components for a generative AI platform. + Architect and implement enterprise-scale vector database solutions for efficient document and data retrieval. + Develop and maintain robust backend services using Python and frameworks like FastAPI and Flask. + Architect and optimize document processing pipelines, including OCR, text extraction, and embedding generation. + Design and implement advanced vector search algorithms and related optimization strategies. + Drive integration efforts with various Azure AI and cognitive services to enhance platform capabilities. + Establish and optimize data processing pipelines for document understanding and analysis. + Implement advanced data caching strategies to improve system performance. + Mentor junior and mid-level team members, fostering technical growth and establishing development standards. + Lead the team in making critical architectural decisions to ensure platform scalability and performance. + Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Essential Skills and Qualifications + Expert-level Python development, with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies. + Extensive experience with vector similarity search and optimization techniques for large-scale systems. + Deep understanding of Azure AI services, including integration and optimization for backend solutions. + Advanced experience with high-performance asynchronous processing and distributed systems. + Proven expertise in machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) architecture patterns. + Strong experience in establishing technical standards and implementing best practices in backend development.
