PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage and perform various aspects of Civil/Structure design, including drawing and structural calculation for civil, structure and building. Perform design/review/approve site preparation, soil investigation, piling design, foundation, and upper structure design, prepare calculation for equipment foundation, steel structure and buildings, etc. Coordinate with other function to manage the interface per company QA/QC requirement and perform cross review appropriately. Well understand of international industry Civil/Structure engineering standard/code and national Civil/Structure standard/code. Skillful with software for Civil / Structural (both Concrete and Steel) design calculations such as PKPM, STAAD. Pro, etc. Has strong communication & inter disciplinary coordination skills, working with process, mechanical, machinery, electrical, instrument and piping discipline, and exchange design condition during work process. Conduct civil/structure engineering and detail design work and Civil/Structure related construction cost estimation for projects executed in China. Review other civil engineer’s design work. Site construction support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 10 years work experience in Civil/Structure Engineering for Coal Gasification, Coal Chemical, Oil and Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical related industry with China Design Institute or Engineering Company. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structure Engineering, or related disciplines. Job Incumbent is expected to be national registered structural engineer, class 1 is preferred. Job Incumbent is expected to have certain management skills and with 3-years’ experience in supervising a team with the scale of several persons. Working level for both written and spoken English. Job Incumbent is expected to prepare civil related technical documents, drawings, specification, and cost estimation. Job Incumbent is expected to be skillful in drawing, calculation, and design with S3D, AutoCAD, PK/PM series & Staadpro software. Job Incumbent is expected to well understand China local Civil/Structure engineering design code and be familiar with international standards and codes. Job Incumbent is expected to familiar with engineering special structures, such as: water pool, pipe rack, foundation for large dynamic machine. Job Incumbent is expected to have module experience. Job Incumbent is expected to have Coal Chemical, Oil and Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical related overseas project experience.

Have a basic knowledge of Architecture, HVAC, Water supply and drainage, Firefighting, Road design.
