The role
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll join our engineering team to ensure engineering excellence across the nuclear sector in compliance with standards and support the Nuclear Sector Strategy.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll oversee the production and maintenance of engineering management arrangements in the nuclear sector. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

Support the production and maintenance of Nuclear Sector and Business Unit Engineering Management Arrangements. Ensure Engineering Delivery Teams comply with global and sector engineering standards. Produce and implement sector and Business Unit risk management plans. Identify opportunities to improve engineering management arrangements.

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

 

Essential experience of the Senior Engineer 

Experience in Systems Engineering and applying its principles. Experience in high hazard/consequence industries. Strong communication and influencing skills with all organisational levels and stakeholders. Knowledge of change and project management principles. Personal resilience and adaptability to change  Proactive self-starter with minimal support needed.

 

Qualifications for the Senior Engineer 

Degree in a STEM discipline. Willingness to pursue professional registration (e.g. Chartered Engineer) as part of continuous professional development.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
