Job Description:

Be the Quality Engineering interface supporting the FTS Business Unit, conduct product related Quality Engineering functions, manage audit programs, customers interactions, supplier interactions, and BU Quality Team’s needs.

Responsible for knowledge, guidance, and support on all quality compliance related matters ensuring compliance to Engineering data, Microchip procedures, AS9100 series requirements, and contractual requirements.

Interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.

Responsible for quality products and services delivered to our customers, management of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, support in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Microchip business needs.

Responsible for developing, supporting, and implementing strategic and tactical Quality Assurance / Compliance plans that will directly support business unit integration.  Responsible for improving processes, or systems, using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of documented engineering experience.

Minimum 3 years of documented Quality Engineering experience within the Aerospace, Defense or Military environment. (AS9100 / MIL-PERF / DFARs).

Working experience in production disciplines in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Quality.

Working experience in Quality metrics used to drive root cause corrective action (RCCA).

Working experience monitoring and managing RCCA, Failure Reviews, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) activities for systemic issues and ensuring robust RCCA.

Working experience in the translation of both external and internal requirements, command media, contractual documents.

Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in Colorado, is $64,480-$128,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
