**What you’ll do:** As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Customer Order , you will be providing design document and schemes and technical drawings with taking care of the work preparation for ATO(Assembled to Order), ETO(Engineered to Order) and / or MTS(Made to Stock) projects, in accordance with applicable procedures and guidelines, so that the information package for production (assembly and inspection) is available on time for Switchgear, Substation and Transformer product lines. Lead efforts on automations to improve overall productivity. Job Responsibilities: '• Ensure received information from customer specifications, application, and electrical engineering completeness and if necessary, discuss and / or request additional information • Mechanical technical design ,layout design with Autocad, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo,etc. 3D CAD software • Supporting well-structured database and inputs to PDM/PLM for manufacturing/quality and suppliers in addition to having process improvement and standardization in place • Mechanical Engineering calculation and simulations (Temperature rise, static analysis, Short time current withstand) • Bill Of Material and proper Product ERP Configuration Creation in full compatibility with customer request and other design engineer output • Advising and offering technical support to various internal departments like assembly with regard to mechanical and / or electrical implementation, feasibility, costs and availability of materials. • Compiling an information package for production (assembly and testing): Mechanical drawings, where necessary with instructions. • Checking the availability of digital information on the network for production assembly (drawings, diagrams and customer specifications). • Starting up purchase order recommendations and ERP approvals for the orders to be executed. • Is a team member for order projects: proactively communicates with all stakeholders involved (application engineering, electrical engineering, order management, planning, supply chain and assembly) on both technical matters and process, planning related matters. Pro-actively communicates feasibility and progress of work within the required quality, timing and budget deadlines. •Responsible in understanding working principles of various LV/MV/MCC equipment like Air/Gas Insulated Switchgear, transformer, Circuit breaker, VFD, Soft Starter, relay, switches etc. •Advising and offering technical support to various internal departments like assembly with regard to mechanical implementation, feasibility, costs and availability of materials • Document all activities, data and information in line with procedures. • Communication person with Change Management and R&D teams to reflect modification on ERP and BidManager • On time escalation •Lead Continuous Improvement/Automation efforts •Guide, Mentor and ensure accountability of junior engineers/peers to sucsessfully achive key project goals **Qualifications:** + BE Mechnical + 7-10Years with Minimum 5 years experience in Customer Order Engineering role **Skills:** + 'Hands on knowledge on + MV Switchgear, Substation and Transformers design + Experience of working for ETO bussiness + Knowledge on CAD and PLM softwares + ERP Software's + Project management, working in Virtual enviroment, Communicate effectively with stakeholders, customer, team members and cross functional team, both verbal & written
